I firmly beleive that every woman should have the option to birth in whatever environment SHE feels most comfortable in. For some folks, that is the hospital. For others, birthing centers, and still others home. Each setting has its own risks and benefits, and each is a valid choice. Midwifery model of care is a great asset to the birthing mother, no matter what the setting.
